Tim Byrd founded DealerRE in 1994 in Southeast Virginia and has spent decades helping dealers build more efficient and profitable F&I operations through reinsurance. Taylor Byrd serves as President of DealerRE and is a recognized voice in dealer reinsurance education. He frequently speaks at national and state independent dealer association events and has appeared on The Independent Dealer Podcast to discuss reinsurance opportunities for dealerships. Taylor also co-authored a book focused on building winning customer relationships, reflecting his emphasis on both profitability and client experience. His leadership combines strategic industry knowledge with a disciplined, service-oriented mindset shaped by his prior role as a Captain in the South Carolina Army National Guard. Vice President of DealerRE
Parker Byrd brings direct dealership experience to his role as Vice President of DealerRE. Before joining the company in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as both an F&I Manager and Salesman, giving him firsthand insight into the pressures and opportunities dealers face every day. That background helps him connect reinsurance strategy to real-world dealership operations, sales processes, and customer interactions. Parker also served in the Army Reserves as a CH-47 mechanic and later as a Crew-Chief, experiences that reinforced discipline, accountability, and teamwork. His practical understanding of modern dealership environments makes him a valuable resource for clients evaluating how reinsurance can support profitability and operational control.
Office Manager / Controller
Heather Spruill joined DealerRE in 2013 after earning her MBA and has become a key part of the company's client support and operational consistency. As Office Manager and Controller, she helps ensure the administrative side of dealer reinsurance runs smoothly, from communication and coordination to financial oversight. Her client-first mindset is reflected in the responsiveness and care she brings to every interaction. Heather also serves as Recording Secretary for The VIADA Charity Fund, reflecting her strong ties to the Virginia dealer community. Kristi Cashman serves as VP of Business Development and helps DealerRE clients identify ways to improve efficiency, productivity, and profit potential through better program strategy.
