Tim Byrd

Founder

Tim Byrd founded DealerRE in 1994 in Southeast Virginia and has spent decades helping dealers build more efficient and profitable F&I operations through reinsurance. His long-term perspective gives clients confidence when evaluating dealer-owned structures, profit retention opportunities, and program design. Tim's leadership helped shape DealerRE into a family company known for practical guidance, relationship-driven service, and a commitment to helping dealers strengthen both customer experience and financial performance. That foundation continues to influence the company's consultative approach today.

Taylor Byrd

President

Taylor Byrd serves as President of DealerRE and is a recognized voice in dealer reinsurance education. He frequently speaks at national and state independent dealer association events and has appeared on The Independent Dealer Podcast to discuss reinsurance opportunities for dealerships. Taylor also co-authored a book focused on building winning customer relationships, reflecting his emphasis on both profitability and client experience. Parker Byrd brings direct dealership experience to his role as Vice President of DealerRE. Before joining the company in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as both an F&I Manager and Salesman, giving him firsthand insight into the pressures and opportunities dealers face every day. That background helps him connect reinsurance strategy to real-world dealership operations, sales processes, and customer interactions. Parker also served in the Army Reserves as a CH-47 mechanic and later as a Crew-Chief, experiences that reinforced discipline, accountability, and teamwork. His practical understanding of modern dealership environments makes him a valuable resource for clients evaluating how reinsurance can support profitability and operational control.
