Tim Byrd founded DealerRE in 1994 in Southeast Virginia and has spent decades helping auto dealers build stronger, more profitable F&I operations through reinsurance. Under his leadership, DealerRE grew from a regional firm into a nationwide reinsurance partner serving hundreds of dealers. Taylor Byrd serves as President of DealerRE and helps dealers understand how reinsurance can improve profitability, control, and long-term business value. Before joining the company in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as both an F&I Manager and Salesman, giving him firsthand insight into the daily realities dealers face when implementing profit-focused programs. That background helps him connect reinsurance strategy to real-world dealership operations, customer interactions, and performance goals. Parker also served in the Army Reserves as a CH-47 mechanic and crew chief, experience that strengthened his attention to detail, accountability, and leadership.
