Tim Byrd founded DealerRE in 1994 and has spent decades helping auto dealers build stronger, more profitable F&I operations. Based in Southeast Virginia, he launched the company with a long-term commitment to educating dealers on reinsurance, operational efficiency, and sustainable profit growth. His experience gives clients practical insight into how dealership programs can be structured to improve both customer experience and financial performance. Taylor Byrd serves as President of DealerRE and plays a leading role in educating dealers on reinsurance and F&I opportunities. He is a frequent speaker at national and state independent dealer association events and has also appeared on The Independent Dealer Podcast to discuss dealer-owned reinsurance strategies. As a co-author and industry educator, Taylor brings a strong communication style to training and business development. His background as a former Captain in the South Carolina Army National Guard informs his disciplined, leadership-driven approach to helping dealership teams improve performance. Vice President of DealerRE
Parker Byrd brings direct dealership experience to his role as Vice President of DealerRE. Before joining the company in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as both an F&I Manager and Salesman, giving him firsthand understanding of the pressures, goals, and day-to-day realities dealership teams face. That background helps him connect training and program guidance to real-world dealership operations rather than theory alone. Parker also served in the Army Reserves as a CH-47 mechanic and later as a Crew-Chief, experience that reflects discipline, accountability, and teamwork. His perspective is especially valuable for dealers looking for practical F&I improvement strategies grounded in actual showroom and finance office experience.
Office Manager / Controller
Heather Spruill joined DealerRE in 2013 after earning her MBA and has become a key part of the company's client support and operational consistency.
