Tim Byrd

Founder

Tim Byrd founded DealerRE in 1994 in Southeast Virginia and has dedicated nearly three decades to helping auto dealers expand their F&I programs for greater efficiency and profitability. His vision was to create a warranty administration company built on integrity and proven results, enabling dealers to take control of their warranty programs through dealer-owned reinsurance. Under Tim's leadership, DealerRE has grown from a regional startup to a nationwide partner serving over 400 dealers coast to coast. DealerRE operates as a family company founded on Christian principles and the word of God. Tim's commitment to ethical business practices and genuine service has established DealerRE as the gold standard in reinsurance administration. His philosophy that dealers deserve to capture the profits from their own warranty programs—rather than sending them to third parties—has transformed the financial well-being of countless dealerships across America.

Taylor Byrd

President

Taylor Byrd serves as President of DealerRE and is a recognized authority on dealer reinsurance, speaking frequently at National and State Independent Dealer Association events nationwide. He has appeared as a guest on The Independent Dealer Podcast to discuss reinsurance opportunities for dealers opening their own reinsurance companies. Taylor co-authored Race To The Finish Line: Creating Winning Relationships With Customers, demonstrating his expertise in customer relationship management. Before joining DealerRE, Taylor served in the South Carolina Army National Guard as a Captain, where he developed leadership skills that now guide the DealerRE team. His military background instilled discipline, strategic thinking, and a commitment to mission success that translates directly to helping dealers achieve their profitability goals. As Taylor expresses it, 'DealerRE exists to have a positive impact on people, to shine the light of Christ on our clients, their customers, and our partners, and we just happen to do so through the vehicle of reinsurance.' His leadership combines business acumen with genuine care for dealer success.

Parker Byrd

Vice President

Parker Byrd brings invaluable frontline dealership experience to his role as Vice President of DealerRE. Before joining the company in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as both an F&I Manager and Salesman, giving him unique insight into the daily challenges dealers face. This hands-on experience allows Parker to relate authentically to clients navigating today's modern dealership environment. In 2015, Parker enlisted in the Army Reserves as a CH-47 Mechanic, and after a year and a half of training became a Crew-Chief on CH-47 Helicopters—a role demanding precision, accountability, and technical expertise. He currently pursues his degree in Business Administration while serving DealerRE's growing client base. Parker's combination of F&I experience, military discipline, and business education makes him particularly effective at helping dealers implement warranty administration programs that actually work in real-world dealership operations. He resides in Tappahannock, Virginia with his high school sweetheart.

Heather Spruill

Office Manager / Controller

Heather Spruill joined DealerRE in 2013 after earning her MBA in 2012, bringing advanced business education to her role as Office Manager and Controller. Her commitment to client service is evident from the moment she answers the phone—dedication that has earned her the affectionate title of 'Office Queen' among the DealerRE team. Heather manages the financial operations and administrative systems that keep warranty programs running smoothly for over 400 dealers nationwide. Outside the office, Heather is the mother of two grown sons and volunteers alongside her husband Greg with homeless and food-insecure populations. She and Greg enjoy getaways to the Outer Banks. Kristi Cashman serves as Vice President of Business Development at DealerRE, bringing proven talents in helping businesses reach their highest potential. With a degree in Strategic Management and Marketing, Kristi understands what it takes for dealerships to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profit potential through strategic warranty administration programs.
