Tim Byrd started DealerRE in 1994 in Southeast Virginia and has been helping dealers to expand their F&I programs to be more efficient and profitable ever since. With nearly three decades of experience in dealer reinsurance, Tim has built DealerRE on a foundation of integrity, service excellence, and proven results. His vision transformed the way independent and BHPH dealers approach F&I profitability, enabling hundreds of dealerships to capture profits previously lost to third-party providers. Tim's commitment to helping dealers succeed extends beyond business—DealerRE is a family company built on the foundation of faith and biblical principles. Under his leadership, DealerRE has become the gold standard in reinsurance, serving dealers coast to coast with comprehensive admin obligor solutions that maximize profitability while enhancing customer satisfaction.

Taylor Byrd is a frequent speaker at National and State Independent Dealer Association events and has been a guest on The Independent Dealer Podcast to discuss reinsurance and the opportunities that dealers have in opening their own reinsurance company. As co-author of Race To The Finish Line: Creating Winning Relationships With Customers, Taylor brings thought leadership to the dealer reinsurance industry. He formerly served in the South Carolina Army National Guard as a Captain and uses his Army leadership skills to help lead the DealerRE team with discipline, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence. Above all, Taylor is a disciple of Jesus Christ and the great commission is his first mission. As Taylor says, DealerRE exists to have a positive impact on people, to shine the light of Christ on clients, their customers, and partners, and the company just happens to do so through the vehicle of reinsurance.
Vice President
Before Parker began his career with DealerRE in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as an F&I Manager as well as a Salesman. The hands-on experience he gained in dealership operations gives him the unique advantage of being able to relate to clients in today's modern dealership environment and understand their day-to-day challenges firsthand. In 2015 Parker enlisted into the Army Reserves as a CH-47 Mechanic. After a year and a half of enlistment and education, he became a Crew-Chief on CH-47 Helicopters, developing the attention to detail and operational excellence he brings to his role at DealerRE. He is now pursuing his degree in Business Administration while serving clients with practical F&I expertise. Parker is happily married to his high school sweetheart and resides in Tappahannock, Virginia.
Office Manager / Controller
Heather began her career with DealerRE in 2013 after earning her MBA in 2012, bringing advanced business acumen and financial expertise to the team. Her commitment to clients is evident from the minute she picks up the phone and has even earned her the affectionate title of Office Queen. Heather's meticulous attention to detail ensures seamless administration of reinsurance programs, from financial reporting to compliance management. She is the mother of two grown boys and in her free time, she and her husband, Greg, volunteer with the homeless and food insecure, reflecting the company's values of service and generosity. She holds office on The VIADA Charity Fund as Recording Secretary, staying connected to the dealer community DealerRE serves.
VP of Business Development
With a passion to see individuals and businesses reach their highest potential, Kristi Cashman came to DealerRE with proven talents to help people do just that. With a degree in Strategic Management and Marketing, Kristi understands what it takes for businesses to optimize their efficiency, productivity and profit potentials in competitive markets. She works closely with dealerships to identify opportunities for F&I growth and implement reinsurance strategies that drive measurable results. Kristi is the author of two books, Focus and You Are Perfect, and brings the same clarity and vision to helping dealers succeed. She is a wife and mother to five fabulous kids. In her spare time, she speaks at women's conferences and seminars, sharing insights on business excellence and personal development.
Account Manager
Brenda West has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and also has a financial background working as F&I Manager at a very successful dealership. This dual expertise in both insurance administration and frontline F&I operations makes her uniquely qualified to guide dealers through the complexities of reinsured ancillary products. Brenda understands the challenges dealers face because she's lived them, and she uses that experience to deliver exceptional account management and support. Brenda grew up in Yorktown, Virginia but now makes Locust Hill, Virginia her home. She is a proud mother of two grown sons who are a huge part of her life, and she brings the same dedication and care to her client relationships.
