Tim Byrd

Founder

Tim Byrd started DealerRE in 1994 in Southeast Virginia and has been helping dealers to expand their F&I programs to be more efficient and profitable ever since. With nearly three decades of industry leadership, Tim pioneered the application of admin obligor reinsurance for independent and BHPH dealers, enabling them to capture profits previously lost to third-party companies. DealerRE is a family company that is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ and the word of God. Under Tim's guidance, DealerRE has grown to serve over 400 auto dealers coast to coast, with several clients achieving recognition as National Quality Dealer of the Year, NIADA Board Members, and State Quality Dealer of the Year. Tim's vision continues to drive the company's mission to serve and educate car dealers across the country to utilize reinsurance to be better dealers, better serve their customers, and improve their business and personal financial well-being.

Taylor Byrd

President

Taylor Byrd is a frequent speaker at National and State Independent Dealer Association events and has been a guest on The Independent Dealer Podcast to discuss reinsurance and the opportunities that dealers have in opening their own reinsurance company. Taylor was a co-author in Race To The Finish Line: Creating Winning Relationships With Customers. As President of DealerRE, Taylor leads the company's strategic vision and client service initiatives, applying leadership skills honed during his service in the South Carolina Army National Guard as a Captain. Taylor formerly served in the South Carolina Army National Guard as a Captain and uses his Army leadership skills to help lead the DealerRE team. Above all, Taylor is a disciple of Jesus Christ and the great commission is his first mission. As Taylor says, DealerRE exists to have a positive impact on people, to shine the light of Christ on our clients, their customers, and our partners, and we just happen to do so through the vehicle of reinsurance.

Parker Byrd

Vice President of DealerRE

Before Parker began his career with DealerRE in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as an F&I Manager as well as a Salesman. The experience he gained gives him the unique advantage of being able to relate to clients in today's modern dealership and understand their challenges firsthand. In 2015 Parker enlisted into the Army Reserves as a CH-47 Mechanic. After a year and a half of enlistment and education, he became a Crew-Chief on CH-47 Helicopters, bringing military precision and discipline to his dealership consulting work. He is now pursuing his degree in Business Administration. Parker's dual background in F&I operations and military service enables him to deliver practical, results-oriented solutions that help dealers maximize profitability while maintaining compliance. Parker is happily married to his high school sweetheart and resides in Tappahannock, Virginia.

Heather Spruill

Office Manager / Controller

Heather began her career with DealerRE in 2013 after earning her MBA in 2012. Her commitment to clients is evident from the minute she picks up the phone and has even earned her the title of Office Queen. As Office Manager and Controller, Heather oversees the financial administration and day-to-day operations that keep DealerRE's reinsurance programs running smoothly for hundreds of dealer clients nationwide. Her attention to detail ensures accurate financials, compliance reporting, and seamless coordination between dealers, insurers, and regulatory bodies. Heather is the mother of two grown boys. In their free time, she and her husband, Greg, volunteer with the homeless and food insecure, and enjoy trips to the Outer Banks. She holds office on The VIADA Charity Fund as Recording Secretary, demonstrating her commitment to giving back to the dealer community.

Kristi Cashman

VP of Business Development

With a passion to see individuals and businesses reach their highest potential, Kristi Cashman came to DealerRE with proven talents to help people do just that. With a degree in Strategic Management and Marketing, Kristi understands what it takes for businesses to optimize their efficiency, productivity and profit potentials. As VP of Business Development, Kristi helps dealers across the country discover how admin obligor reinsurance can transform their F&I departments from cost centers into major profit generators. Kristi is the author of two books, Focus and You Are Perfect. She is a wife and mother to 5 fabulous kids. In her spare time, she speaks at women's conferences and seminars, bringing the same passion for transformation to her speaking engagements that she applies to helping dealers succeed.

Brenda West has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and also has a financial background working as F&I Manager at a very successful Dealership. As an Account Manager, Brenda provides ongoing support to dealers, helping them maximize their reinsurance profitability while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
