Tim Byrd

Founder

Tim Byrd founded DealerRE in 1994 in Southeast Virginia with a mission to help auto dealers expand their F&I programs for greater efficiency and profitability. Over nearly three decades, Tim has built DealerRE into the gold standard reinsurance partner for dealers coast to coast, establishing a company rooted in Christian values and built on the foundation of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. His vision transformed the dealer-owned reinsurance landscape, empowering over 400 dealerships to take control of their F&I destinies. Tim's leadership philosophy centers on servant leadership, generosity, and integrity, creating lasting partnerships that prioritize dealer success and customer satisfaction. His pioneering work in admin obligor reinsurance has helped countless dealers—including National Quality Dealers of the Year and state association leaders—achieve unprecedented profitability while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Taylor Byrd

President

Taylor Byrd serves as President of DealerRE, bringing military leadership experience from his service as a Captain in the South Carolina Army National Guard to the family business. A recognized industry thought leader, Taylor is a frequent speaker at National and State Independent Dealer Association events and has been featured on The Independent Dealer Podcast discussing reinsurance opportunities for dealers. He co-authored 'Race To The Finish Line: Creating Winning Relationships With Customers,' sharing insights on customer-centric business practices. Taylor applies the leadership principles and discipline learned in the Army to guide the DealerRE team in serving dealers nationwide. Above all, Taylor is a disciple of Jesus Christ, and as he states, 'DealerRE exists to have a positive impact on people, to shine the light of Christ on our clients, their customers, and our partners, and we just happen to do so through the vehicle of reinsurance.' His commitment to excellence and servant leadership drives the company's mission to help dealers achieve financial success while honoring God.

Parker Byrd

Vice President

Parker Byrd joined DealerRE in 2018 after gaining valuable frontline experience working as both an F&I Manager and Salesman at two local dealerships. This hands-on dealership experience gives Parker a unique advantage in relating to clients and understanding the daily challenges and opportunities facing modern dealers. In 2015, Parker enlisted in the Army Reserves as a CH-47 Mechanic, advancing to Crew-Chief on CH-47 Helicopters after a year and a half of training and education. He continues to serve while pursuing his degree in Business Administration. Parker's combination of military discipline, dealership operations knowledge, and commitment to client success makes him an invaluable resource for dealers implementing reinsurance programs. He brings fresh perspectives to the family business while maintaining the core values of integrity, service, and excellence that define DealerRE. Happily married to his high school sweetheart, Parker resides in Tappahannock, Virginia, and represents the next generation of leadership committed to helping dealers maximize profitability.

Heather Spruill joined DealerRE in 2013, bringing her MBA expertise and exceptional client service skills to the role of Office Manager and Controller.
