Founder

Tim Byrd founded DealerRE in 1994 and has spent decades helping auto dealers build stronger, more profitable F&I operations through reinsurance. His work has centered on showing dealers how to replace outside product dependency with dealer-owned structures that improve efficiency, retain underwriting income, and support long-term growth. Tim's leadership helped establish DealerRE as a trusted resource for independent and franchise dealers seeking practical guidance on warranty, service contract, and ancillary product reinsurance. As the company's founder, he has shaped a family-led organization focused on education, service, and lasting client relationships. His experience continues to guide dealerships looking to create certified pre-owned programs with stronger financial control and a better ownership experience for customers.

President

Taylor Byrd serves as President of DealerRE and helps dealers understand the strategic value of opening and operating their own reinsurance company. Before joining the company in 2018, he worked at two local dealerships as both an F&I Manager and Salesman, giving him firsthand insight into the daily realities of presenting products, structuring deals, and serving modern car buyers. That background helps him relate closely to DealerRE clients and recommend reinsurance strategies that work in real dealership environments. Parker also served in the Army Reserves as a CH-47 mechanic and later as a Crew-Chief, experiences that strengthened his discipline, accountability, and operational mindset.
